Where do you want to go?

Kaemon

Organic Vegan & Halal lunch buffet in Asakusa! The food is quite simple, but tasty enough and decent value at about 1600¥. A few of the dishes are gluten free and staff can help point out what they are. There’s also a few main dishes like pasta and a burger.

Located close to the station going to Tokyo Sky Tree, so you can go on your way.

Sawobali

Sawobali Cake Shop and Vegan Gluten Free Buffet! Its fairly close to the Monkey Forest, offering several dishes, some quite spicy. The food is OK, nothing special, but value enough at only 50K IDR for buffet. There’s also cakes and ice cream options!

Vitao – CLOSED

Sadly Vitao is now closed. Please try out Vantra.

Vitao as another favourite of mine in Soho. Formerly known as Vita Organic, it’s a fully Vegan, Organic, mostly Gluten-Free, mostly Asian Buffet. Its a really relaxed atmosphere in here, chilled music, and great in summer with the windows open. You can buy a £6 takeaway box for lunch, or sit in for all you can eat! They also sell shakes, juices, natural soft drinks and desserts.

Its a really nice place to hang out, but they have a “time limit” on the buffet at night so you can’t spend hours there. I’m not sure if they actually enforce that though. There is also now their sister cafe, Vantra.

Vitao is also popular with my omnivorous friends and they ask to go back there! Go to Oxford Circus or Piccadilly Circus and Walk down Wardour Street from Oxford Street or Up Wardour Street from Shaftesbury Avenue.

Indian Veg Bhelpoori House

A strong challenger for London’s Best Cheap Eats is the Indian Veg Bhelpoori House in Angel Islington. Walk up Chapel Market, past the stalls, and you will find this simple buffet restaurant. At £4.50 all you can eat, its pretty hard to argue. Usually there are 3-5 curries, onion bhajis, popadoms, rice, salad etc. Its about 80% vegan, so just check which curries of the day are vegan as some may contain dairy.

The decor is pretty basic, and sometimes so is the food, but again its hard to argue with that price. Its just great value. The walls are covered in posters about Vegetarianism so you can read the walls while eating! Oh, and don’t forget to try a Vegan Mango Lassi, made with coconut milk!

Walk from Angel Station, just past the Chapel Street Market

222 Veggie Vegan

Fully Vegan Buffet Lunch and A La Carte Dinner, 222 Veggie Vegan is your best Vegan offering in West London, and is not too far from Earl’s Court and the Museums if your in the area. Even if your’e not in the area, its worth the trip! Great food, good value, and they have Alcoholic Drinks as well as deserts and smoothies. Another place my Omni friends have loved too.

Lunch buffet 12:00 ~ 15:30
Dinner a la carte 17:30 ~ 22:30

Beatroot Cafe

Beatroot is a friendly Vegetarian Cafe in Soho.  About 90% Vegan, they offer a buffet selection of hot and cold foods, juices and smoothies and desserts. (The Vegan Shepherds Pie is my fave). You start with a small, medium or large box, and select as many options as you can fit! The food is good, service is quick and friendly, and the prices are reasonable (£5.20 for a medium which is quite filling). There are a few tables inside and out if you want to sit in, and its a nice bright setting, but most customers are there for takeaway.
